Preprinted Asset Tags

Effectively manage assets for an organized tracking system

Preprinted Asset Tags afford standard tagging options for items that an establishment may have on site, whether these are equipment or office supplies. Though employees may bring a particular item to different locations, or even check it out of the premises, an asset ultimately remains company property. As such, facilities need to be able to maintain systematic, regularly updated record of their assets. A set of tools, for instance, would need unique asset tags to obtain and track data such as purchase date, location, and condition. Seton offers property labels for customers to implement standardized asset tracking.

Preprinted Asset Tags are generally designed with features such as standard text and colors. Some, however, may come with barcodes. Bar codes provide machine-readable data recording, avoiding the errors committed by manual encoding. This provides an automated, secure database that can hold large amounts of records and information. Not only is this valuable, but often necessary for establishments with diversified and/or comprehensive assets that must be monitored, tracked or maintained. Barcodes are also strictly required for certain regulated products. Not all facilities are bound by these considerations; but for those that are, barcodes are a crucial component in their operation. As such, choosing the best preprinted asset tags depends on the needs of a particular organization.
