GHS Safety Signs
If you are a manufacturer, supplier or user of chemicals you are required to comply with laws and regulations for the classification and labeling of hazardous materials known as Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). It is a single unified approach to classifying chemical hazards, designating warning labels, and organizing information on safety data sheets. The purpose of this system is to make it easy to identify chemicals and potential hazards when chemicals are shipped all over the world, regardless of spoken language. Hazard communication now lies in standard symbols that eliminate confusion.
According to OSHA, this system includes: Identifying health, physical and environmental hazards, Creating a classification process that uses information on chemicals for comparison with the identified hazard measures and Communication hazard information as well as a way to protect oneself from the hazard on labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Seton offers a variety of signs, labels, tapes and posters to meet these new regulations.
Countries all over the world are conforming to the new Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). GHS uses pictograms, or pictures, that make workers aware of the chemical dangers around them.
GHS Signs from Seton are available in a variety of sizes and materials, including adhesive vinyl, magnetic and plastic, so you can choose the best product for your work environment and needs. Choose from among the most common GHS pictograms: Explosive, Flammable, Oxidizing, Compressed Gas, Harmful/Irritant, Dangerous to the Environment, Health hazard, Corrosive and Toxic.
Seton also offers Magnetic GHS Signs that explain GHS Hazard Classification Groups and Precautionary Statement Pictograms. These signs are magnetic, so they can easily be moved around your facility without leaving a residue or wall marking.
Another major change to the hazard communication standard is the upgrade from Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to the 16-section Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Post GHS SDS Information Signs to tell workers where SDS and Right to Know Information binders are located.
Choose from a large selection of GHS Training Materials to help you teach the new GHS policies to your workers.
